Robert Biswas-Diener,

Dr. Robert Biswas-Diener is a researcher, author, and consultant with 75 peer-reviewed academic articles on positive psychology topics such as happiness, hospitality and friendship. His books include Radical Listening (2025), Positive Provocation (2023), The New York Times Best Seller, The Upside of Your Dark Side (2014), and the 2007 PROSE Award winner, Happiness.
He has presented keynotes to Lululemon, Deloitte, Humana, AARP, The World Bank and others, and in 2024 Thinkers50 named him one of the “50 Most Influential Executive Coaches in the World.” He lives in Portland, Oregon and enjoys drawing and rock climbing.

Linda Fogg-Phillips is on a mission to help others live happier and healthier lives, as she has spent more than 35 years studying health behaviors, such as nutrition and fitness. As the CEO of the Tiny Habits® Academy—a company co-founded with her brother, Stanford researcher, Dr. BJ Fogg— Linda's work focuses on behavior change and habit design. Together Linda and BJ have taught and trained professionals to use the Tiny Habits Method with their clients to help make behavior change simple and sustainable.
Linda holds a master’s degree in health promotion and exercise physiology and has virtually coached over 15,000 people worldwide. She is a contributing author and expert for the ACE Behavior Change Specialist program, providing subject matter expertise in virtual coaching, habit formation and health behavior change. She is also an international speaker, consultant and author of two books focused on understanding the online behavior of adolescents— Facebook for Parents and Facebook for Educators.
Linda has contributed as a family health expert in various media outlets, including The New York Times, CNN, ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. As the mother of eight children, Linda often jokes that she’s had her own behavior design lab within the four walls of her home, learning firsthand what works and what doesn't as she’s taught her children how to create the habits they want in their own lives.

David Bowman

Dr. David Bowman is double board certified in lifestyle medicine and in pediatrics. The initial part of his career focused on global health and HIV; he worked in Botswana with Baylor College of Medicine and in Nigeria and Haiti with University of Maryland. Dr. Bowman started working in pediatrics at Howard University College of Medicine in 2017 and is now the Assistant Dean of Student Health and Wellness and the Director of the Center for Spiritual Health and Wellness at Howard University College of Medicine. After his own health transformation using lifestyle medicine and his faith, he has been passionate and innovative in empowering health care providers, patients, churches, and the general public about the power of applying the pillars of lifestyle medicine in their lives to revolutionize their health.
Dr. Bowman served a 3-year term on the Board of Directors of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), and he is currently the co-chair of the Health Equity Achieved by Lifestyle (HEAL) Initiative with ACLM. In addition, he is one of the first 5 African Americans to earn the distinction of Fellow of ACLM. He and his wife, Keisha, started Lifestyle Med Revolution, LLC, to transform health using nutrition, physical activity, spirituality, and group support; they run spiritual health challenges several times a year and have had hundreds of people go through their program with many testimonies of transformed health. They live in Maryland with their beautiful and brilliant daughter, Amara.Â

Keisha Bowman, a native of New York, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Howard University. After spending over 13 years in corporate America as an IT Consultant, Keisha went on to earn a certification as a Holistic Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2011 and became Zumba certified in 2012, pursuing a desire to remodel the state of health in black women. Keisha went on to earn a Master of Science in Public Health degree from Hofstra University in 2017 and became an advanced EMT-CC (critical care), furthering her education and community commitment. Keisha earned a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at eCornell University in 2020 and became a PN Certified Master Health Coach through Precision Nutrition.
Currently, Keisha is a Doctoral student at Lifestyle Prescriptions University, pursuing her PhD in Lifestyle Medicine. She works as a clinical research coordinator, dedicated to providing creative and innovative health solutions in research. Keisha is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach having obtained her designation in December 2023 and is also a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Keisha is the co-founder of Lifestyle Med Revolution, LLC, an organization focused on revolutionizing health through nutrition, physical activity, spirituality and group support; providing health coaching to clients and managing operations of the business. Keisha is a bonus mom to an amazing daughter and raising her as part of a blended family in Maryland.

Jennifer Britton is a pioneer in the field of group and team coaching and an award-winning business coach. For more than 20 years she has supported coaches, solopreneurs, and organizations in building stronger businesses, teams, and results.
She is the founder of the Coaching Biz Growth Lab™ and AMPLIFY – The Coaching Biz Mastermind, two group coaching programs where coaches gain clarity, accountability, and momentum in their business development. Jennifer is also the author of several widely used resources, including Coaching Business Builder: Putting the Pieces Together, a workbook-planner designed specifically for coaches, and From One to Many: Best Practices for Team and Group Coaching, which has become a go-to reference for group coaching practitioners worldwide.
Her upcoming book, Flow, Flex, and Scale: The 9-Box Model of Coach and Solopreneurial Growth, expands on her practical frameworks to give business owners a roadmap for aligning with their strengths (Flow), adapting with agility (Flex), and scaling for greater impact (Scale). Dr. Janet Clark is an integrative and family physician certified through the American Board of Family Medicine. Her work and current clinical interests include chronic pain recovery, health and wellness coaches in clinical care teams, and interdisciplinary clinical
therapeutic education for chronic disease management and recovery.
Dr. Clark leads the Integrative Health Coordinating Center and Whole Health Clinical Care Services as a senior leader for the Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation (OPCC&CT) in the Veterans Health Administration. Prior to joining OPCC&CT as Physician Lead, her VHA facility roles were as the ACOS for Rehabilitation and Extended Care, Clinical Director of Whole Health, Pain Clinic Physician, and the Medical Director of the Therapeutic Lifestyle Clinic at the Iowa City VA Healthcare System. She has served Veterans in the VA for 18 years.

Cami Flygare is a Health Promotion and Wellness Manager for the worksite wellness program at Intermountain Health for over 60,000 employees in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Colorado and Montana, helping them live their healthiest lives possible through programming supporting positive behavior change. Cami has a master’s degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in integrative wellness, a bachelor’s degree in health promotion, is a certified personal trainer, an experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT) and national board certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC).
Holistic health is Cami’s personal and professional passion. When she isn’t spreading the healthy lifestyle message to caregivers, she can be found learning and exploring with her husband and two daughters through cycling, mountain biking, skiing, pickleball, riding her motorcycle and traveling— basically, anything outdoors! She believes each new day is a gift; so move your body, do something fun, learn something new, and spread some joy.

Katherine Hillgren

Katherine Hillgren is the Health & Wellness Coach Supervisor at the St. Louis VA Medical Center and a Coaching Implementation Champion with the Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation (OPCC&CT). She is a Nationally Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach and worked with Veterans as a coach at the VA prior to her supervisor role. Katherine completed a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2010 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Additionally, she is a Certified Yoga and iRest Guided Meditation teacher and has provided both offerings to Veterans and Staff at the VA and in the local community. Prior to joining the VA in 2018, Katherine spent 2 years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Fijian Islands working in the area of Community and Youth Development and formerly taught in the psychology department at Missouri State University while working as the Empowering Families Coordinator at Great Circle.Â

Michael Kahn is the Director of Health Coach Operations & Practice at Omada Health, where he oversees a team of (nearly) 400 coaches who work with Omada members across the country. He started as a Health Coach 10 years ago, and has been helping support the team and build Omada's coaching practice throughout the last decade. Prior to that, he received a M.S. in Health Promotion Management from American University and previously worked as a certified personal trainer.
Michael's approach to life, work, and health is moderation and consistency—both of which are also key elements of his approach to coaching and wellness. After his own weight loss journey earlier in life, he has learned the value of a life lived authentically, but with good habits, knowledge, and intentions along the way.
While he loves a good adventure, you can often find Michael in his favorite place- at home with his partner and 3 cats.

Sarah Klein

Sarah Klein received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Health and Human Physiology, with an emphasis in Health Promotion and a Master of Science in Health and Wellness Management. She started her career at the Iowa City VA Health Care System as a Health and Wellness Coach, where she went on to receive her board certification with the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching. As her career progressed at the VA she proceeded to a supervisory role managing a team of health and wellness coaches and becoming a Health and Wellness Coaching Implementation Champion with the Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation.
Alongside her amazing and talented team of champions and leadership, she helps support VA sites with the implementation of health and wellness coaching. She is an active member of the health and wellness coaching task force that provides support and recommendations to the health and wellness coaching profession.
Sarah is dedicated and passionate about growing and expanding health and wellness coaching. She helps facilitate the VA’s monthly Health and Wellness Coaching Community of Practice call by recruiting and organizing experts from the field of coaching to provide continuing education to health wellness coaches in the VA. She embodies her experience as a health and wellness coach to advance the coach experience in the VA so we can continue to support Veteran well-being by providing whole, person-centered care.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys hiking with her husband and two Australian Shepherds, Koah and Blue. When Sarah is not working, she can be found outside gardening, kayaking, or camping.

Tonya Lewis is a nationally board-certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC) with nearly two decades of experience in the healthcare sector. She advocates a comprehensive approach to wellness that encompasses physical, mental, and emotional health. Currently, Tonya serves as the Supervisory Health & Wellness Coach at the Thomas H. Corey VA Healthcare System in West Palm Beach, Florida. In this role, she supervises, mentors, and develops the skills of a dedicated team of Health & Wellness Coaches, fostering their professional growth and advocating for their success.
Tonya previously served as a National Education Coach Champion (NEC) with the VA Office of Patient Centered Care & Cultural Transformation, where she facilitated Whole Health Education Courses, contributed to course development, and provided mentorship for Health and Wellness Coaches. She is also the CEO and Founder of Motivation Magnified, where she offers health and wellness coaching as well as mind-body groups across the nation, employing evidence-based methodologies to empower her clients. Her mission is to help clients take control of their health and implement lasting, impactful changes.
Tonya has been married to her high school sweetheart, Corey, for nearly 20 years and is a dedicated mother of five. Her personal experiences, including raising children with Autism, have solidified her commitment to positivity, mindfulness, and community advocacy. Outside of her professional endeavors, Tonya is passionate about mindfulness and movement, cooking, dancing, and reading. Her journey has instilled in her a strong belief in resilience and living in the present moment, values she diligently imparts to her clients. Tonya’s exceptional ability to connect with clients and her deep commitment to their success make her coaching sessions transformative. Through her holistic and empathetic approach, she addresses the underlying causes of health challenges, facilitating lasting, meaningful change.

Dr. Liana Lianov is a visionary global leader in lifestyle medicine and positive health. As the driving force behind the development of the groundbreaking lifestyle medicine core competencies, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare earning her the 2022 Trailblazer Award from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). She is the president and founder of the Global Positive Health Institute (GPHI) and serves as an Assistant Professor at the Center for Positive Health Sciences, Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.
Her leadership extends to her role as lead faculty for the ACLM Meaning, Purpose, and Spirituality in Lifestyle Medicine Project and for the Physician and Health Professional Wellbeing course. A few other roles Dr. Lianov has served include ACLM president, American Board of Lifestyle Medicine Founding Vice-Chair, Positive Health and Wellbeing Division president at the International Positive Psychology Association, and American Medical Association Healthy Lifestyles Division Director.

Angelina Ix-Ik’ Londoño, PhD, NBC-HWC, is the founder of Ix-Ik Health & Wellness LLC, an organization dedicated to cultivating well-being and empowering communities, with a special focus on serving Spanish-speaking populations. Through her work, Dr. Londoño provides consulting for nonprofits and startups, leads Community as a Source of Health initiatives, and facilitates chronic disease education programs.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a PhD in Integrative Biomedical Sciences from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her academic training in evidence-based research fuels her passion for holistic and preventive approaches to health and wellness.
As a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), Dr. Londoño empowers clients with a wide range of tools while also training the next generation of health coaches. She is deeply committed to the transformative power of lifestyle interventions—including nutrition, movement, mental health, and community support.

Dr. Jessica Matthews is a tenured professor and industry leader in the fields of lifestyle medicine and health and wellness coaching. An award-winning educator, she has created graduate degree and professional certificate programs at several colleges in Southern California, including the Master of Science in Integrative Wellness program at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) for which she serves as Program Director.
Additionally, Dr. Matthews serves as Director of Health Coaching at UC San Diego Health. There she has led the integration of health and wellness coaching services within both clinical practice and research, to include overseeing a team of national board certified health and wellness coaches in the Centers for Integrative Health (CIH).
A passionate advocate for whole person health, Dr. Matthews previously served as Interim Executive Director and Chair of the Board Directors for The National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC), with volunteer service to the organization in several board leadership roles spanning from 2019-2025. She is also board certified in lifestyle medicine (DipACLM) and served on the board of directors for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) from 2020-2023. In 2021, Dr. Matthews was named a Fellow of ACLM for outstanding achievement in the field of lifestyle medicine and exceptional dedication to advancing the organization's mission. Presently she serves on the Pritikin Scientific Advisory Board, providing subject matter expertise in the area of health behavior change.

Meg Root, MS, NBC-HWC has enjoyed a successful career in the health, fitness, and wellbeing industries spanning more than 35 years. Her professional journey and expertise have evolved across many roles, including group fitness instructor and program coordinator, personal trainer, contributing writer, convention presenter, corporate health and wellness coach, training and development manager, career mentor, and adjunct professor.
Having spent most of her career working and teaching in North America’s top destination spas, Meg has honed the art of “engagement,” which is both the first task of motivational interviewing and a key aspect of building authentic relationships that turn coaching leads into coaching clients.
As a training and development manager for a national corporate health coaching company, Meg onboarded over 150 health coaches into busy workplace settings, teaching them how to effectively talk to employees about health coaching in a way that drove high levels of engagement in coaching services.
She is the author of the popular Substack, Lean In To Coaching, which focuses on highlighting and strengthening our evidence-supported skillset while providing insights, practical strategies, and coaching wisdom to help NBC-HWCs bridge the gap between training and certification and the successful launch of their solo practices and careers.
Named 2023 Coach of the Year at the inaugural The Health and Well-Being Coaching Conference, Meg remains committed to supporting individual coaches and the coaching profession to achieve elevated, sustainable career paths and compensation structures.

Diego Salinas

Dr. Diego Salinas MD, NBC-HWC is a bilingual board-certified health coach born in Miami, Florida. He studied cognitive behavioral neuroscience at Brown University, attended medical school at the University of Florida College of Medicine, and completed his pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children's Hospital. Throughout his career, Dr. Salinas has been deeply passionate about education, enhancing communication, and creating systemic change to increase access to improve well-being. He is currently a certified training assistant at Duke University's Health and Well-Being Coach Training Program, his alma mater training program. He is a proud member of the 2024 National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach Competency Update Committee as a subject matter expert, working to elevate standards for program accreditation and the national board certification examination.
In addition to his work in education and certification, Dr. Salinas is a co-founder of Vibly, a vision he had when he first sat as a student health coach. People want to be healthy—they just need a version of health that works in their world.
Laura is the author of Plate of Food: Mostly Good, a Little Bit of Naughty, a cookbook and nutrition guide that helps people understand food without guilt and make choices that feel right for them. Her latest book, Shift Happens: Practical Advice for Thriving When Life Doesn’t Fit the 9 to 5, continues that mission—breaking down healthy habits into flexible, real-life strategies.
She also hosts the Shift Health Coach Podcast and teaches other coaches how to better support clients who live outside the 9-to-5 norm. Her work is all about meeting people where they are—and helping them move forward without judgment.Â

With over a decade of experience in digital marketing and leadership, Jen brings a rare blend of business acumen and coach-minded mentorship to the wellness industry. After earning her certification through Mayo Clinic and building her own successful coaching practice, she launched Wellspired in 2019 to fill a critical gap: helping certified coaches confidently transition from graduation to professional private practice.
Today, through Wellspired Co.’s signature program, Wellness Coach Business Academy, a library of CE-approved education, mentorship, and peer community, Jen and her team of Mentor Coaches have helped thousands of coaches create life-changing impact with their clients while building businesses that align with their own values, strengths, and lifestyle.
